About this game
Persona 5 Tactica sends the Phantom Thieves into an oppressed realm and puts a three-character squad under your command. Ending a turn behind cover establishes a guarded position. To open the enemy's defence, use melee attacks or Persona skills, then strike an exposed target to earn another action. Positioning links these decisions together: surround a downed enemy with the whole squad to launch a group attack. You can switch between members who have not acted, choosing the order that sets up the formation. As the main story advances, optional quests introduce special mechanisms or victory conditions. Skill-tree choices can be reset with their growth points refunded, and difficulty can be changed through the menu.

Nintendo SwitchAI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
A promising fit for players who enjoy arranging a turn around one coordinated payoff.
Cover-breaking, extra actions and encirclement make the order of moves an interesting planning problem. Refundable skill choices should also suit players who want to experiment with a team without treating every early unlock as permanent.
Strengths
- The group attack gives the squad's relative positions a shared purpose.
- Refunded skill resets make trying a different build less committal.
Who it is for: Players who like sequencing allies' moves and adjusting character builds to support a tactical plan.
Play notes: The group attack requires a downed target enclosed by the whole squad; concentrating allies nearby is not enough.
