About this game
The Phantom Thieves reunite for a summer vacation after Persona 5, only to find their journey drawn into strange incidents across Japan. You take direct control of Joker and other members of the group, fighting Shadows with character weapons, guns and skills as the investigation moves between locations. Elemental matchups remain central to combat. Strike a Shadow's weakness to enable 1MORE and All-Out Attacks, and change Joker's equipped Persona to alter his abilities and available skills. The recurring decisions concern which character and powers to bring into a confrontation, then how to use them against the enemies in front of you. This road trip carries the familiar team into an action RPG built around both direct attacks and weakness exploitation.

Nintendo SwitchAI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
An action RPG for players who want character control and elemental decisions in the same battle.
Weakness-triggered attacks give character selection and Persona changes a tactical purpose within the action. For returning fans, the summer journey also offers a clear narrative reason to spend more time with the Phantom Thieves.
Strengths
- Weakness exploitation can make choosing a character or Persona more meaningful than relying on direct attacks alone.
- Directly controlling different Phantom Thieves members offers a way to engage with the returning cast through combat.
Weaknesses
- Players who mainly want to deliberate over abilities may find the accompanying action demands less appealing.
Who it is for: Players interested in an action RPG that combines controlling familiar characters with selecting powers around enemy weaknesses.
Play notes: The story follows Persona 5, so familiarity with the team's earlier adventure may help contextualize the reunion.
