About this game

Humans and monsters pursue different goals in this asymmetrical chase game. Humans must keep at least one teammate uncaught until the three-minute round ends; monsters must capture them all. Running and hiding are backed by lanterns that stun pursuers, while monster abilities include moving through walls or finding footprints. Calling a nearby human ally opens cooperative actions when they respond: throw a partner, jump together or carry one another. Monsters counter with Super Catch, which can capture several humans together. Characters and stages take inspiration from Japanese yokai and urban legends. On Nintendo Switch 2, groups can also play split-screen on one console or use local GameShare, with up to four participants in either arrangement.

7.3 / 10Nintendo Switch 2

A clear fit for groups that enjoy timed chases and coordinated escapes.

The opposing victory conditions give hiding and hunting different priorities. Lantern timing and ally responses may turn a simple chase into a series of small coordination decisions, especially for humans trying to preserve one survivor.

Strengths

  • Human cooperation and monster-specific abilities offer distinct ways to influence the same chase.
  • The timer and explicit win conditions should help groups understand what each round demands.

Weaknesses

  • Players who prefer entirely independent escapes may find the ally-response requirement for cooperative moves restrictive.

Who it is for: Groups interested in hide-and-seek, switching between pursuit and evasion, and reacting to teammates during short rounds.

Play notes: One-console split-screen and local GameShare each support up to four participants; online play requires internet access and a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership.
