About this game
Nine Parchments follows apprentice wizards who leave their training behind to search for lost magical parchments. You shoot spells in real time against monsters and bosses in the fantasy world of Trine, adding elemental magic to your repertoire as the adventure develops. It can be played alone or with companions on the same system. Character growth runs alongside the fighting: levels open skill-tree improvements, quests unlock other playable wizards, and hats and staves provide collection goals. Cooperation also includes resurrection and friendly fire. Helping a companion back into the battle and keeping your spells away from allies are therefore part of the same magical expedition.

Nintendo SwitchAI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
A promising fit for cooperative groups that enjoy managing their own magical chaos.
Friendly fire and resurrection can make teamwork a matter of both aim and recovery, rather than simply concentrating damage on enemies. Spell acquisition and skill trees should also appeal to players who want character-building decisions alongside real-time action.
Strengths
- Friendly fire can give positioning around companions a meaningful purpose.
- Spell learning and skill trees offer different reasons to develop a wizard.
Weaknesses
- Groups that dislike accidentally harming one another may find friendly-fire encounters frustrating.
Who it is for: Players who enjoy cooperative spell combat and are willing to treat mistakes around allies as part of the challenge.
