About this game

Coromon puts you in the role of a Lux Solis Battle Researcher exploring Velua. Catch creatures, train your squad and choose between their different elements, traits and skills. In battle, skills consume stamina: you can deal damage, drain an opponent's energy or apply conditions that interfere with its actions. Your investigation takes you along routes linking towns, with puzzles, quests and hidden items alongside the creature battles. The world is presented in pixel art, while difficulty options alter gameplay rules as well as the level of challenge. Building a team and deciding how to spend its stamina sit at the centre of this monster-taming journey.

7.3 / 10Nintendo Switch

A promising fit for creature collectors who enjoy managing resources between attacks.

Stamina costs and disruptive effects can turn choosing a move into a resource decision rather than a simple damage comparison. Puzzles and route exploration should also appeal to players who want activities around the team-building loop.

Strengths

  • Stamina manipulation can give support skills a useful tactical purpose.
  • Rule-changing difficulty options offer room to tailor the challenge.

Weaknesses

  • Players interested mainly in collecting creatures may find stamina management an extra demand on their attention.

Who it is for: Players who enjoy developing a creature team and weighing the cost of each move.
