About this game
Teams compete for an overall medal total through sports with altered rules. In the hurdles event, barriers can be broken and their fragments used against rivals. Hammer throw golf instead asks you to put a hammer into a cup using as few throws as possible. Another event sends contestants across rooftops using jumps, poles or a unicycle. Medals matter both to results and shopping, where they buy items or information. Practice mode lets you select a single event to study its particular rules.
Collected in series
River City is part of the Kunio-kun family of schoolyard brawls, comic rivalries and unruly sports games. Its street-fighting adventures let you punch, kick and grab weapons, with several entries adding shops and new moves to learn between fights.
