About this game
Kunio’s dodgeball club enters a soccer tournament. You move the captain and instruct teammates to pass or shoot, while tackles and slides can be used against opponents. The tournament can also be tackled cooperatively by two players. Overhead kicks, diving headers and shots after character-specific running steps produce special attacks. A draw counts as a loss, so keeping possession must eventually lead to a goal. Separate practice matches let two players compete.
Collected in series
River City is part of the Kunio-kun family of schoolyard brawls, comic rivalries and unruly sports games. Its street-fighting adventures let you punch, kick and grab weapons, with several entries adding shops and new moves to learn between fights.
