About this game
Kunio and Riki team up against Reiho Academy in a street-fighting adventure. Punch and kick opponents, pick up objects and throw them during fights. Combat also feeds into character development: food and equipped items can improve abilities, while learned special moves expand the available actions. Two-player options support cooperation or fighting between the players. Passwords preserve developed statistics, so building a fighter and choosing how to work with a partner are part of the progression.
Collected in series
River City is part of the Kunio-kun family of schoolyard brawls, comic rivalries and unruly sports games. Its street-fighting adventures let you punch, kick and grab weapons, with several entries adding shops and new moves to learn between fights.
