About this game
Assassin's Creed - Revelations is a PlayStation 3 adventure game centered on combat encounters, location exploration, and character and object interaction. Locations, objectives, and clues gradually open the main chapters, with progress divided into stages, tasks, matches, or growth milestones that make immediate goals understandable. Its value depends on whether these rules continue to create judgment and room for mastery rather than on length, sales, or series recognition. Short campaigns are judged by repeat-challenge value, while longer ones are judged by variety, pacing, and recovery after failure. Theme, character expression, and environmental clues need to support exploration together, while HD 3D scenes, Blu-ray data streaming, surround audio, and cinematic presentation need to preserve action, state, and text readability together. The genre-specific limitation is that guidance, objective triggers, camera behavior, or dense text can create search and comprehension costs. Platform conditions also include Blu-ray loading, HDD installs, system software, DualShock 3 battery life, Move accessories, resolution and frame rate, and retired online services affect present-day use. This description covers only this platform release and does not import features or conveniences from remasters, emulators, or other console editions.
Collected in series
Assassin’s Creed turns historical settings into places to climb, explore and infiltrate. The conflict between Assassins and Templars links its adventures, while individual games shift the emphasis between stealth, seafaring and character-building RPG systems.

PlayStation 3AI review

Strong traversal and atmosphere with uneven diversions and visual roughness.
The PS3 release turns the city’s height into an engaging space for movement. Faster climbing, longer catches and zipline assassinations make the hookblade a useful extension of the existing design. Carefully arranged ravines and moving-platform sequences stand out, while den defense interrupts that continuity. Environmental sound, differentiated voices and music give the historical city a convincing sense of life. Contemporary European PS3 testing finds large scenes more stable than before, although tearing in busy areas and stiff facial animation remain visible limitations. The strongest rewards come from movement, setting and continuing the series’ emotional journey; new systems fit together less consistently. This assessment covers the original release as reviewed in early 2012. Official online features are now closed.
Strengths
- Hookblade expands routes
- Rich urban soundscape
Weaknesses
- Defense diversions interrupt progress
- Tearing remains in busy areas
Who it is for: Players who enjoy historical exploration and know the series.
