About this game

A warrior travels from the central valley into linked regions, attacking with the Diskarmor and jumping past obstacles. Defeating enemies develops strength and endurance, while sages supply advice and equipment needed for the journey. A grappling tool and divine items enable movement on particular cliffs and rope routes. Spirit energy can also be spent on selected abilities. Progress therefore combines combat growth with finding the means to reach new places.

8.2 / 10Famicom / NES

An exploration adventure built around strength and new routes.

Fighting and acquiring traversal tools serve different kinds of progress. Returning with a useful item can change the route rather than just the damage dealt.

Strengths

  • Growth and exploration provide complementary reasons to continue.

Who it is for: Players who enjoy action combat with equipment-led exploration.
