About this game
Kril's search for treasure begins with a practical problem: his shell has been repossessed, and he needs to buy it back. This underwater action adventure sends the hermit crab through kelp forests, coral reefs, sand-castle cities and deep-sea trenches. Trash is part of that world and part of your equipment: discarded objects become shells that protect Kril against much larger enemies. Different shells provide special abilities, so what you wear affects the options available in combat. Exploration also brings powers learned from other marine creatures, including attacks inspired by mantis shrimp and Bobbit worms. The journey connects that expanding combat toolkit with an ocean affected by pollution and the Gunk. Assist options provide another way to approach the adventure alongside its soulslike combat design.

Nintendo Switch 2AI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
An appealing premise for players who like combat experimentation built around an unconventional piece of equipment.
Making trash both protection and a source of abilities can give shell selection a meaningful place in combat. Learning powers from marine life may also make exploration feel connected to the ways Kril can fight.
Strengths
- Shell abilities can encourage trying different equipment rather than treating every defensive item as interchangeable.
- Creature-derived powers can make encounters with the ocean's inhabitants relevant to combat growth.
Who it is for: Players interested in soulslike action, equipment experimentation and an underwater setting where discarded objects become useful tools.
