No More Heroes follows Travis Touchdown, an otaku assassin whose beam katana and wrestling moves carry him through bizarre ranking battles. Outrageous opponents, odd jobs and irreverent humor give its action a personality all its own. Representative games: No More Heroes (2007): Mixes assassin ranking duels with odd jobs around Santa Destroy to fund Travis’s climb. No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle (2010): Adds dual beam katanas to Travis’s revenge-fueled return to the assassin rankings. No More Heroes 3 (2021): Takes the ranking contest into an alien invasion, pitting Travis against galactic superheroes.
