About this game
Wreckfest puts circuit racing and demolition derbies in the same garage. Drive battered, patched-up cars through races or take them into arenas built around vehicle destruction. Preparing a car involves a tangible tradeoff: protective armour helps it withstand damage, but the extra weight affects how it handles. Choosing a setup means deciding how much protection to carry into the event. Career mode provides championships, with experience leading to additional cars and upgrades. Challenge modes change the machinery, putting vehicles such as lawn mowers, harvesters and school buses into the competition. The Switch edition also supports online multiplayer. This is the base game; the separately sold season packs are additional content rather than part of its included roster.

Nintendo SwitchAI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
For drivers who enjoy preparing for contact as much as chasing the finish.
Armour's handling cost gives vehicle preparation a meaningful compromise, which should appeal to players who like adapting a car to an event. Championships supply an unlock path, while the unusual challenge vehicles offer a different focus from conventional car races.
Strengths
- Protection has a handling cost, making setup choices relevant to how you want to race.
- Career unlocks and unconventional challenge vehicles provide distinct reasons to change what you drive.
Weaknesses
- The emphasis on collisions and demolition may clash with a preference for contact-free racing.
Who it is for: Players who enjoy destructive motorsport, vehicle upgrades and choosing between more protection and less weight.
Play notes: Season packs are separate purchases and are not included in the base-game scope described here.
