About this game
Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition turns moments from classic games into timed challenges. Grab a mushroom or swallow an enemy as quickly as possible, then replay the task with your personal-best run displayed beside your current attempt. Demonstration videos show the objective before you begin, and completing challenges earns coins for unlocking more. Longer Legend Challenges extend the format with more demanding tasks. Party Mode lets up to eight players compete on one system, with a compatible controller for each participant. Online World Championships offer weekly challenge sets and require a Nintendo Switch Online membership, Nintendo Account and internet access. The original NES games are not included in full.

Nintendo SwitchAI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
Best suited to players who enjoy refining a small action until it becomes faster.
Side-by-side personal-best playback gives repeated attempts a concrete point of comparison. Coin unlocks and longer challenges offer different goals, while local competition can turn the same practice into a shared contest.
Strengths
- Demonstrations and personal-best playback provide clear reference points for learning a challenge.
Weaknesses
- The focus on repeating short tasks may feel narrow if sustained adventures are your main interest.
Who it is for: Players who enjoy timing practice, incremental improvement and local score-chasing gatherings.
Play notes: Full NES games are not included. Online competition requires a Nintendo Switch Online membership, Nintendo Account and internet access.
