About this game
Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage puts close-range decisions at the centre of combat. Strikes interrupt throws, guards stop strikes, and throws overcome guarding. On stages with ring-outs, pushing an opponent beyond the boundary can also win the fight, making position another part of your decisions. World Stage provides a single-player route through tournament ranks, including CPU opponents based on well-known competitors. Between matches, you can adjust training conditions and study replays of your own fights or other players' encounters. The Nintendo Switch 2 release also supports cross-play with PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam, letting you take that practice into matches across those platforms.

Nintendo Switch 2AI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
A promising fit for players who enjoy studying an opponent and refining close-range decisions.
The counter cycle makes anticipating a response central to the appeal, especially if you enjoy changing tactics within an exchange. World Stage's tournament progression and configurable practice offer different settings for working on those decisions.
Strengths
- Training conditions and replay study could turn a puzzling defeat into a focused practice goal.
- A solo tournament with CPU versions of real competitors may appeal to players interested in the culture of competitive fighting.
Weaknesses
- Players who prefer long-range attacks may find the exclusively close-range combat restrictive.
Who it is for: Players who enjoy opponent reads, repeated practice and testing their adjustments against human challengers.
Play notes: Online play requires Nintendo Switch Online. This product is the base game; the additional-content bundle is separate.
