About this game
Arcade Archives 2 TEKKEN brings the original arcade 3D fighter to Nintendo Switch 2 through emulation. Its defining control scheme assigns a button to each limb, making the choice of punches and kicks part of learning the fighter's moves. Local versus play is available with two controllers. ORIGINAL MODE lets you choose the difficulty, remap buttons and create multiple saves during play. For a different objective, HI SCORE MODE measures a single run's score, while TIME ATTACK MODE measures completion speed without regard to score. The main game uses the Japanese ROM, and this product does not include Network Mode for online bouts.
Collected in series
Tekken is a 3D fighting series built around martial arts, distinctive fighters and the Mishima family’s bitter rivalries. You control punches and kicks, judge your reach and turn an opponent’s mistake into a combo; later entries make sidestepping another part of the duel.

Nintendo Switch 2AI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
An archival fighter for players curious about TEKKEN's original controls and repeat-run challenges.
The limb-based buttons offer a clear starting point if you want to study the series' early combat design. Score and time objectives give repeat attempts different purposes, though the absence of Network Mode limits its fit for remote versus play.
Strengths
- Difficulty selection and multiple saves provide ways to approach the original game at your own pace.
- Separate score and completion-time goals suit players who enjoy refining an arcade run.
Weaknesses
- Without Network Mode, it is a limited fit for players whose main interest is online head-to-head competition.
Who it is for: Players interested in early 3D fighting games, local bouts and improving individual arcade attempts.
Play notes: The main game uses only the Japanese ROM; local two-player versus requires two controllers.
