About this game
As Geralt of Rivia, you travel through a war-torn open world in search of the Child of Prophecy. Fighting draws on swords, mixtures, crossbows and combat magic, while exploration takes you across land on horseback, out to sea by boat and underwater in search of artifacts. Your decisions carry consequences that can change the story's endings. Complete Edition brings together the base adventure, Hearts of Stone, Blood and Wine and the original free DLC collection. Alongside the main search, these expansions add further stories to the package. With the documented Switch 4.04 update, optional quick sign casting lets you switch and cast signs without opening the radial menu, and text-size settings cover subtitles, NPC chatter and dialogue choices.
Collected in series
The Witcher turns monster hunting into stories about the people living beside the monsters. Drawing on Andrzej Sapkowski's fantasy world, its games combine investigation, combat preparation and choices whose consequences reach beyond a single contract, with Geralt's adventures at the center of the main series.

Nintendo SwitchAI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
Best suited to players who want exploration and consequential decisions to share space with monster fighting.
The combination of several combat tools and varied travel suggests room to alternate between confronting threats and pursuing discoveries. Choices that affect endings may give particular weight to decisions for players who enjoy owning their story's consequences.
Strengths
- Swords, mixtures, crossbows and magic offer several tools for players who enjoy planning how to approach combat.
- The base game and both original expansions provide multiple story arcs within one edition.
Weaknesses
- Players who dislike decisions affecting eventual endings may find the commitment attached to story choices unwelcome.
Who it is for: Players interested in dark fantasy, open exploration and accepting consequences rather than seeking a predetermined story outcome.
Play notes: The quick sign casting and text-size options discussed here require the Switch 4.04 update.
