About this game

The Prince is trying to undo a fatal mistake and save Persia, one attempt at a time. This 2D action-platforming roguelite combines wall-running, trap avoidance and acrobatic attack chains in procedurally generated levels. Failure opens another attempt, where different paths and knowledge from earlier journeys inform what you do next. Unlock weapons and medallions, then assemble combinations for each run. Their effects can interact: one medallion makes critical hits stun nearby enemies, while another inflicts critical hits on stunned enemies. Choosing equipment therefore involves thinking about how effects work together as well as how you want to fight. Difficulty modifiers offer ways to vary the challenge, and completing the story opens harder Awakening runs. ASADI's electronic soundtrack accompanies the adventure.

8.5 / 10Nintendo Switch 2

A likely fit for players who enjoy learning movement and equipment interactions through repeated attempts.

Wall-running and acrobatic attacks suggest an action style where traversal and fighting share your attention. Medallion interactions add a separate layer of planning, while generated levels ask you to adapt rather than rely entirely on a fixed route. The appeal depends partly on enjoying another attempt after failure.

Strengths

  • Wall-running alongside trap avoidance could give movement a meaningful role throughout a run.
  • Critical-hit and stun interactions provide a concrete basis for experimenting with complementary equipment effects.

Weaknesses

  • Players who prefer mastering one fixed route may find procedurally generated layouts less appealing.

Who it is for: Players who like acrobatic action, changing routes and testing equipment combinations across repeated runs.

Play notes: Failure is part of the attempt-based structure; players seeking uninterrupted forward progress may find that cycle a poor fit.
