About this game
Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions is a PlayStation 3 action game centered on area and route exploration, story, case, or mission progress, and movement and immediate actions. Stages build pressure through routes, enemy patterns, and changing objectives, with progress divided into stages, tasks, matches, or growth milestones that make immediate goals understandable. Its value depends on whether these rules continue to create judgment and room for mastery rather than on length, sales, or series recognition. Short campaigns are judged by repeat-challenge value, while longer ones are judged by variety, pacing, and recovery after failure. Animation, hits, camera behavior, and readable hazards determine whether feedback remains dependable, while HD 3D scenes, Blu-ray data streaming, surround audio, and cinematic presentation need to preserve action, state, and text readability together. The genre-specific limitation is that camera behavior, collision rules, input mapping, and repeated ground after failure can raise the entry barrier. Platform conditions also include Blu-ray loading, HDD installs, system software, DualShock 3 battery life, Move accessories, resolution and frame rate, and retired online services affect present-day use. This description covers only this platform release and does not import features or conveniences from remasters, emulators, or other console editions.

PlayStation 3AI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
Four Spider-Men make a lively campaign; PS3 wall-crawling is less graceful.
Shattered Dimensions makes its multiverse premise tangible by splitting the campaign among Amazing, Noir, 2099 and Ultimate Spider-Man. Their shifts in stealth, aggression and movement, together with distinct comic-book worlds, give the thirteen-stage structure a useful sense of change. The performances and art direction are a stronger draw than any single encounter. Repeated fights nevertheless expose the fairly linear stage design. More importantly for this PlayStation 3 release, a platform-specific review describes the camera turning around walls and ceilings in ways that can scramble directional input. That is a practical usability cost, not merely a matter of taste. Spider-Man fans willing to tolerate occasional navigation friction should find a varied character showcase; players seeking consistently precise traversal may be less forgiving.
Strengths
- Different identities and worlds give the campaign strong variety.
Weaknesses
- Repeated encounters and disorienting wall-camera behavior reduce polish.
Who it is for: Spider-Man fans who enjoy chapter-based action.
Play notes: The PlayStation 3 camera can confuse movement on walls and ceilings.
