About this game
Lead a three-unit squad through G: Universe, where familiar Gundam events have been distorted. Clearing Break Missions opens True Missions based on their original scenes. In battle, you combine a Mobile Suit's armaments with launching and aerial attacks to build combos, while close-combat, balanced and ranged roles give you different approaches to squad composition. Missions also supply blueprints for acquiring machines and Capital for improving them. Expansion parts add another way to adjust a suit's statistics before taking it into further operations. You can play alone, or cooperate through local wireless or online play with up to three players. The recurring loop connects correcting altered scenarios, learning a machine's attacks and developing the Mobile Suits you choose to use.
Collected in series
SD Gundam gives Gundam's mobile suits big heads and compact bodies, then sends them into games ranging from tactical battles to action RPGs. In G Generation, you assemble squads and develop machines; in action entries, you pilot them directly and combine attacks. Bringing favorite suits and pilots together is a recurring pleasure.

Nintendo SwitchAI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
A fit for Gundam fans who want mission-based machine development alongside hands-on combo combat.
Different roles and weapon chains can make choosing a favorite suit a question of preferred fighting style as well as appearance. Blueprints, Capital and expansion parts give collection-minded players concrete reasons to develop machines between missions.
Strengths
- Role differences and aerial combos give action-focused players several considerations when choosing a machine.
- Mission blueprints and upgrades connect suit acquisition to a continuing development goal.
Weaknesses
- If you prefer experimenting with new machines without collecting mission rewards, blueprint-based acquisition may feel like work between discoveries.
Who it is for: Gundam enthusiasts who enjoy combining attacks, developing chosen machines and coordinating a small squad.
Play notes: Single-system play is solo; local cooperation uses separate systems communicating wirelessly. Online cooperation requires internet access and paid Nintendo Switch Online membership.
