About this game
Resident Evil Requiem follows Grace Ashcroft and Leon S. Kennedy through an alternating survival-horror story. Explore your surroundings, solve puzzles and manage resources while confronting enemies. Grace has limited supplies and carrying capacity, so assessing whether to fight or flee is part of survival. She can also use infected enemy blood to craft items, ammunition and injectors. Leon approaches combat with firearms, a hatchet, melee attacks and parries, and can turn enemy weapons against them. His equipment decisions include arranging ammunition and recovery items in an attaché case and upgrading weapons with customizable parts. Both characters can be played from first-person or third-person perspectives, changed through the options screen. Multiple difficulty settings offer different conditions, including aiming assistance on an introductory setting.

Nintendo Switch 2AI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
Best suited to players who want cautious survival and active combat to share the same story.
Grace's supply limits make confrontation a decision to weigh, whereas Leon's parries and weapon options suggest more room to answer threats directly. That alternation could give the story a useful change of emphasis, provided you enjoy both styles.
Strengths
- The protagonists' different resources and combat tools can make encounters ask different questions.
- Selectable viewpoints give players room to choose how closely they frame each character's danger.
Weaknesses
- Players seeking only avoidance-focused horror or only armed action may find the alternating styles less consistent with that preference.
Who it is for: Players interested in resource decisions, environmental puzzles and combat, with a willingness to change approach between protagonists.
Play notes: At certain difficulty settings, saving consumes ink ribbons; the restriction does not apply to every setting.
