About this game

PRAGMATA puts movement, shooting and hacking into the same encounter. You control Hugh while directing Diana through a hacking panel, moving its cursor to the goal to open an enemy's armor. Hugh can then fire at the exposed weak point. Their journey takes them through a lunar facility controlled by AI as they search for a way back to Earth. The partnership also determines how you explore. Hugh uses thrusters to cross changes in elevation, while Diana activates lifts and unlocks doors. Items gathered along the way can improve weapons and abilities at the Shelter. Defeat sends the pair back there with collected items retained, allowing another round of preparation before returning to the facility and its incomplete recreations of human civilization.

8.3 / 10Nintendo Switch 2

A distinctive proposition for players who enjoy solving a small puzzle while managing an action encounter.

Hacking creates the opening that shooting exploits, so the two tasks have a concrete reason to share your attention. Keeping collected items after defeat also suggests room to turn an unsuccessful attempt into preparation, particularly for players who enjoy adjusting their approach.

Strengths

  • Hacking changes the enemy's vulnerability, giving the puzzle an immediate combat purpose.
  • Retained items can keep a failed expedition useful for later upgrades.

Weaknesses

  • Simultaneous hacking and shooting may feel distracting to players who prefer to concentrate on aiming alone.

Who it is for: Players interested in coordinating puzzle inputs with action and using exploration finds to improve their next attempt.

Returning to the Shelter with collected items intact can soften the loss of a failed attempt while preserving a reason to reconsider upgrades.

Creating a weak point before exploiting it may make successful attacks feel like the result of coordination rather than aim alone.
