About this game
Unite Battles are decided by team points when time runs out. Defeat Pokémon to collect Aeos energy, then carry it to an opposing goal zone and deposit it to score. Attacks can interrupt a goal attempt, so collecting energy and successfully converting it into points are separate tasks. Your Pokémon grows stronger and learns new moves during battle, and some Pokémon evolve. The battles do not use the type-matchup rules of the main Pokémon games. Signals and quick-chat messages support team communication as you coordinate attacks and scoring opportunities. Holowear adds holographic outfits for Pokémon, giving their battle appearance a separate cosmetic layer.
Collected in series
Pokémon is a role-playing series that began in 1996. As a Trainer, you travel the world meeting, catching and raising Pokémon. Filling your Pokédex, building a team and taking on rivals shape the adventure, while trading with friends brings new partners along for the journey.

Nintendo SwitchAI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
For players who want Pokémon battles built around team coordination and turning openings into points.
Collecting energy is only part of the job: interrupted goal attempts could make timing and support more important than simply winning fights. Growth within each match may appeal to players who enjoy adjusting their role as new moves become available.
Strengths
- Separating energy collection from scoring can give positioning and teammate support a clear purpose.
- Learning moves during battle can create decisions as the match develops.
Weaknesses
- A successful fight does not guarantee points, which may disappoint players who mainly want knockouts to determine success.
Who it is for: Players interested in coordinated Pokémon competition, scoring opportunities and adaptation within a match.
Play notes: Main-series type matchups do not apply to Unite Battles.
