About this game

As YoRHa android 2B, you enter a war against machine lifeforms to reclaim Earth. Combat combines weapon sets configured for light and heavy attacks with ranged support from a Pod. Changing sets gives you different tools to bring into an encounter, while the camera also shifts into perspectives such as side-on and top-down views. Experience points improve your character's capabilities, and plug-in chips let you strengthen selected abilities within a limited storage budget. Character growth therefore includes both levelling and deciding which enhancements to equip. The End of YoRHa Edition includes the 3C3C1D119440927 DLC, adding colosseum battles with costume rewards. Those challenges require progress in the main story and cannot be accessed during certain story scenes.

9.3 / 10Nintendo Switch

A considered fit for players who want action combat shaped by both weapon choices and character builds.

Weapon sets, Pod attacks and limited chip capacity suggest several layers of preparation around the fighting. Experience-based growth and story-gated arena challenges may suit players who enjoy developing a build before testing it in additional battles.

Strengths

  • Weapon configurations and chip allocation offer distinct ways to shape a combat approach.

Weaknesses

  • Limited chip capacity means a preferred enhancement may compete with another bonus you want to keep.

Who it is for: Players interested in android science fiction, switching combat tools and choosing ability enhancements within a capacity limit.

Play notes: The included colosseum content becomes available through story progress and is temporarily inaccessible during some scenes.
