About this game
Nekketsu Kakutou Densetsu puts the player’s own representative at the centre rather than making Kunio or Riki the protagonist. The information entered for that fighter determines strength, connecting the initial character setup to the fights ahead. Story mode follows a sequence of fights along a narrative, with the championship as the aim. Battle mode instead allows up to four players to fight together. The game retains the pixel-art Kunio character style within its fighting-game format.
Collected in series
River City is part of the Kunio-kun family of schoolyard brawls, comic rivalries and unruly sports games. Its street-fighting adventures let you punch, kick and grab weapons, with several entries adding shops and new moves to learn between fights.
