About this game
Hitman 3 is a PlayStation 5 adventure game centered on area and route exploration, character and object interaction, and objective or clue progression. Locations, objectives, and clues gradually open the main chapters, with progress divided into stages, tasks, matches, or growth milestones that make immediate goals understandable. Its value depends on whether these rules continue to create judgment and room for mastery rather than on length, sales, or series recognition. Short campaigns are judged by repeat-challenge value, while longer ones are judged by variety, pacing, and recovery after failure. Theme, character expression, and environmental clues need to support exploration together, while SSD streaming, 4K and HDR output, 3D audio, performance or quality modes, and high-density interfaces need to preserve feedback and information clarity together. The genre-specific limitation is that guidance, objective triggers, camera behavior, or dense text can create search and comprehension costs. Platform conditions also include install size, SSD space, patch version, DualSense battery life, visual mode and frame rate, online dependencies, PS VR2 requirements, and cross-generation version differences affect the current release. This description covers only this platform release and does not import features or conveniences from remasters, emulators, or other console editions.
Collected in series
Hitman makes a guarded location into a puzzle for Agent 47 to unravel. Watching routines, borrowing disguises and spotting opportunities can open a route to a target. Its assassination missions invite you to return with a different plan and see how the same place reacts.

A superb stealth sandbox with modest peripheral flaws.
Hitman 3 on PS5 is most rewarding when players watch routines inside intricate locations and then use disguise, equipment and environmental opportunities to arrange a clean assassination. A direct PS5 review highlights Berlin’s reversal of the usual hunter role and Dartmoor’s detective subplot; both make a level feel like a puzzle worth taking apart repeatedly. Six new locations are not especially long on a single pass, but challenges, alternative routes and permanent shortcuts support considerable mastery. Some unlockable gadgets duplicate earlier rewards, and the overarching story is less vivid than the smaller narratives inside each map. Dubai’s tower and rain-soaked Chongqing also look striking on PS5, with smooth performance and fast loading in the cited review. DualSense use is basic, while legacy progress import was convoluted at that review date. Patient stealth players will find substantial freedom; a one-pass, linear approach misses its strongest qualities. This rating covers the 2021 PS5 game, not later World of Assassination packaging or an unverified current service state.
Strengths
- Intricate levels and replay-friendly shortcuts.
Weaknesses
- Thin overarching story and duplicate unlocks.
Who it is for: Players who enjoy studying and mastering stealth spaces.
