About this game
Survival takes place across a city struck by a virus epidemic. Climb buildings and cross rooftops with parkour, search for supplies, and craft weapons against the infected. Combat also lets you combine weapons and abilities with the environment. When night arrives, the threat changes and the decision to face an enemy or escape becomes part of the survival loop. The story campaign can be tackled cooperatively through local wireless or online play. Platinum Edition also includes Hellraid, which moves the action into a dark-fantasy stronghold filled with demonic enemies. On Nintendo Switch, gyroscope aiming is supported alongside the game's city traversal and combat.
Collected in series
Dying Light is Techland’s open-world zombie action series, mixing parkour, scavenging and close-range combat. Daylight gives you time to explore and prepare, while night changes the danger of the same streets and escape routes.

Nintendo SwitchAI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
For survival players who want movement and escape routes to matter alongside weapons.
Parkour and environmental combat can make route choice as relevant as the weapon you carry. The nighttime change in threat gives that freedom a sharper survival tradeoff, especially for players who enjoy deciding when to disengage.
Strengths
- Rooftop traversal and environmental combat offer room to think beyond a direct confrontation.
Weaknesses
- Players seeking uninterrupted scavenging may find the change in nighttime threat an unwelcome interruption.
Who it is for: Players who enjoy first-person traversal, crafting and adjusting their approach to changing danger.
Play notes: Night changes the threat; online cooperation also requires membership, an account and internet access.
