About this game
DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2 places your own fighter inside the Dragon Ball world. Create a character, explore Conton City and train under familiar faces before entering battles across the series' locations and timelines. Protecting history provides the story's goal, while character progression lets you change your appearance, abilities and moveset. The story is a solo adventure, with other ways to fight outside it. Online battles pit you against other players, while Raid Battles bring players together against large enemies. On one Switch system, shared play is limited to one-on-one matches. Additional content packs are separate purchases, so the base-game overview does not imply that the expanding DLC selection is included.
Collected in series
Dragon Ball games turn the manga and anime’s battles into fighting games, character-building adventures and action RPGs. You might assemble a tag team, create your own fighter or revisit Goku’s journey between explosive encounters.

Best aligned with fans who want to build a fighter and take a personal role in Dragon Ball history.
Learning from familiar characters and choosing a moveset can turn series recognition into a character-building goal. Solo story play, competitive battles and cooperative raids offer different outlets for that fighter, although shared play on one console has a much narrower scope.
Strengths
- Teachers and moveset customization connect character growth with the series' familiar cast.
- Solo, competitive and cooperative activities provide distinct contexts for using a custom fighter.
Weaknesses
- Players seeking a shared story adventure on one console will find only one-on-one versus play available there.
Who it is for: Dragon Ball fans who enjoy customizing abilities and developing their own character alongside recognizable heroes.
Play notes: Online multiplayer needs Nintendo Switch Online; additional content packs are separate from the base game.

| Dimension One-console versus play is a convenient local option, but its one-on-one restriction makes it unsuitable as a substitute for the solo story. | Reviewed | 7.3 / 10 | Not provided |
