About this game
Choose a fighter and face opponents in two-dimensional battles set within the Hollow Night. Button sequences connect combos, while Creeping Edge offers an approach that evades attacks. Behind those exchanges sits GRD: advancing, landing hits and guarding all contribute to a resource contest running alongside the fight. When the TS gauge completes a cycle, the dominant player gains Vorpal State. Chain Shift provides another decision by converting GRD into EXS and cancelling the preceding action. You therefore manage both the immediate exchange and the resources that shape what comes next. Detailed pixel-art fighters accompany a continuation of the Hollow Night story, presented as its concluding chapter.

Nintendo SwitchAI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
Best suited to fighting-game players who enjoy a resource contest within every exchange.
GRD rewards movement and defense as well as successful attacks, suggesting that momentum can involve more than simply staying on offense. Chain Shift's conversion and cancellation functions should especially interest players who enjoy turning accumulated advantage into a deliberate tactical choice.
Strengths
- GRD gives defensive actions a concrete place in the struggle for advantage.
- Chain Shift combines resource conversion with cancellation, creating a reason to think beyond the current combo.
Who it is for: Players who like learning how positioning, defense and resource decisions interact in a competitive fighter.
Play notes: Simple combo sequences may ease the first steps, but players seeking immediate mastery still need to account for GRD and the Vorpal cycle.
