About this game

Drag x Drive puts you in a wheeled vehicle for three-on-three basketball. Slide the Joy-Con 2 controllers like a pair of mice to move around the court, pass to teammates and chase rebounds, then raise a hand and flick your wrist to shoot. Successful tricks add points to a basket, giving jump shots and half-pipe dunks a place in the scoring rules. Choose an agile Guard, a balanced Forward or a taller Center. Around the park, checkpoint races and falling-ball contests offer other uses for your movement skills, while challenges unlock helmets for your customized driver. You can also play against computer-controlled opponents offline.

8.1 / 10Nintendo Switch 2

A fit for players who want steering technique to matter as much as finding a shot.

Separate wheel control and gesture shooting could make positioning a skill to practise in its own right. Bonus points for tricks create a reason to weigh a straightforward basket against a more elaborate attempt.

Strengths

  • Passing and rebounding give practiced movement a team purpose beyond individual shooting.
  • Driver roles offer a concrete choice between agility, balance and physical presence.

Weaknesses

  • Players who prefer familiar stick movement may find coordinating two mouse-style controllers an extra learning task.

Who it is for: Players interested in learning unusual sports controls and applying them through team positioning and trick shots.

Play notes: Multiplayer requires a console and game copy per player; online play also requires a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership.
