About this game

Choose singles or doubles air hockey, then select analog-stick or mouse controls for each player. Handy Hockey supports Joy-Con 2 as well as Nintendo Switch controllers, while its mouse option uses Joy-Con 2 mouse mode. Up to four people can play on one console. You can also place the system flat and face one another across it, bringing the players around the same screen. Local multiplayer requires a compatible controller for every participant.

7.4 / 10Nintendo Switch 2

Likely to suit groups who want air-hockey competition with individual control choices.

Choosing controls separately may help a group accommodate different input preferences. The face-to-face arrangement could make the shared screen part of the social appeal, especially for players who enjoy gathering around a table.

Strengths

  • Independent stick or mouse selection may reduce the need for everyone to adopt the same input method.
  • Face-to-face play could give local competition a more direct, across-the-table character.

Who it is for: Players interested in singles or doubles air hockey and groups that prefer competing together on one console.

Play notes: Each local multiplayer participant needs a compatible controller.
