About this game
Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny centres on developing characters and using them to clear tactical stages. Lifting and throwing allies or enemies changes their positions across the battlefield. Behind the battles is a zombie's repeated challenge to a God of Destruction, with Super Reincarnation also forming a growth system: characters return to their starting level while carrying strength forward. Training has its own configurable tools. Demonic Intelligence specifies which skills automated characters should use against particular enemies, while Auto-Repeat replays a stage and High-Speed Modes accelerate gameplay. These systems sit alongside the battlefield decisions, making the way you organise repeated battles another part of squad development. The characters are presented in 3D.
Collected in series
Disgaea turns the Netherworld into a stage for comic demon stories and squad-based strategy RPG battles. Positioning allies, combining attacks and developing characters and equipment all matter, with lifting and throwing opening up playful ways to rearrange the battlefield.

Nintendo SwitchAI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
A fit for tactical players who enjoy engineering character growth as much as directing battles.
Throwing units creates room to think about battlefield positioning, while Super Reincarnation makes development extend beyond a single climb in levels. Configurable automated combat may especially suit players who enjoy designing a training routine and refining its rules.
Strengths
- Lifting and throwing provide a concrete way to rethink where units should be.
- Custom combat rules can turn repeated training into a planning problem.
Weaknesses
- Players who dislike revisiting stages may find the repeat-stage training tools less compelling.
Who it is for: Players interested in squad development, positional tactics and specifying how automated battles should unfold.
Play notes: Automation changes your role toward setting rules; players who value choosing every action may prefer to engage with the manual tactical decisions.
