About this game

Crash and Coco advance through stages by jumping past hazards and spinning into enemies and crates. Quantum Mask abilities change how those obstacles work: slowing time and reversing gravity add new rules to the task of reaching each goal. Main Path stages carry the story through different dimensions. There are also other ways to engage with the levels. Finding Flashback tapes opens side-scrolling challenges, while N. Verted stages mirror layouts and change their presentation. Your chosen playstyle determines what failure costs: Modern returns you to the latest checkpoint, whereas Retro sends you back to the start of the level if your lives run out.

8.7 / 10Nintendo Switch

A fit for platforming fans who enjoy relearning obstacles under changing rules.

Time and gravity powers can make familiar jumping decisions demand a fresh reading of the stage. Flashback challenges and mirrored variations should particularly suit players who enjoy studying routes beyond simply finishing the main path.

Strengths

  • Mask powers give jumping challenges different spatial and timing questions.
  • Checkpoint-based Modern play offers a less costly retry structure than exhausting lives in Retro.

Weaknesses

  • Retro’s full-level restart can be a poor match for players who dislike repeating completed sections.

Who it is for: Players who enjoy practicing platform routes and exploring variations on the same movement skills.

Play notes: In Retro playstyle, losing all lives requires restarting the level.
