About this game
Brothers in Arms - Double Time is a Wii shooter game centered on combat encounters, local multiplayer or cooperative interaction, and aiming and shooting. Missions pace progress through enemy waves, routes, objectives, and weapon opportunities, with progress divided into stages, tasks, matches, or growth milestones that make its immediate goals understandable. Its value depends on whether these rules continue to create judgment and room for mastery rather than on length, sales, or series recognition. Short campaigns are judged by repeat-challenge value, while longer ones are judged by variety, pacing, and recovery after failure. Aiming feedback, projectiles, hits, and danger zones need to remain readable, while standard-definition output, motion feedback, and interface scale at television distance need to preserve control readability. The genre-specific limitation is that camera turning, aiming methods, dense encounters, and multiplayer service conditions can increase control pressure. Platform conditions also include the Sensor Bar, remote batteries, motion calibration, peripheral requirements, storage limits, and retired online services affect present-day use. This description covers only this platform release and does not import features from other editions.
Collected in series
Brothers in Arms places squad leadership at the heart of its World War II shooting. Directing covering fire and moving comrades into position are central to its main campaigns, which follow airborne soldiers through battles shaped by their responsibility to one another.

WiiAI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
A worthwhile tactical foundation undermined by the Wii conversion's controls and repeated interruptions.
Double Time brings two earlier Brothers in Arms campaigns to Wii, retaining the idea of suppressing enemies with a squad before attacking their flank. That tactical framework is more interesting than straightforward shooting, and strong voices and music help convey the soldiers' situation. Squadmates getting stuck or standing in hostile fire undermine the reward for planning, however. Two campaigns provide substance, but the original multiplayer modes are missing. Historical Wii testing reports sluggish turning during busy encounters, unreliable melee and grenade gestures, and repeated freezes lasting several seconds. Blurry textures also hinder enemy identification. This is best reserved for Wii owners specifically seeking those campaigns; its amount of content cannot compensate for unreliable execution.
Strengths
- Squad suppression and flanking provide tactical structure
- Two campaigns retain dramatic voices and music
Weaknesses
- Unreliable squad behavior and removed multiplayer
- Sluggish controls and repeated historical freezing
Who it is for: Wii-only players specifically interested in the early campaigns.
Play notes: This assessment concerns the Wii conversion and historical observations, not other platform builds.
