About this game
BRIGANDINE ABYSS combines monster-troop management with battles on hexagonal fields. Build each troop within its leader's command allowance, then move leaders and monsters into position. The Support command creates a particular choice: retain a monster on the field or exchange its presence for a trait that strengthens the leader. Protecting that leader matters, because their defeat forces the troop to retreat. Story Mode follows countries resisting an empire, while Mission Mode gives selectable nations distinct objectives, including conquest, collection and debt repayment. Between battles, eligible leaders can explore for resources, money and experience. Reaching the required levels also opens class changes for leaders and monsters.

Nintendo Switch 2AI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
A fit for planners interested in the cost of concentrating power around a leader.
Command limits and the Support tradeoff could make army composition as interesting as battlefield positioning. Country-specific mission goals also give players a reason to plan around something other than conquest.
Strengths
- Support creates a concrete choice between another active monster and a stronger leader.
- Distinct national objectives can encourage different priorities when selecting a mission.
Weaknesses
- Troop retreat after a leader falls may frustrate players who prefer treating every unit as independently expendable.
Who it is for: Players who enjoy troop composition, positional battles and objectives that change their planning priorities.
Play notes: An exposed leader risks the withdrawal of an entire troop, making leader placement consequential.
