About this game

BRAVELY DEFAULT FLYING FAIRY HD Remaster follows a journey to free crystals swallowed by darkness. Its turn-based battles ask you to manage more than individual attacks: Default strengthens defence and stores BP, while Brave spends BP to take additional actions in a turn. Powerful enemies also unlock jobs, expanding the commands and roles you can combine. This remaster builds on BRAVELY DEFAULT -For the Sequel-. Storybook-like visuals and Revo's music frame the adventure, while event-scene fast-forwarding gives you control over how those scenes advance. Mouse-controlled minigames add a separate activity alongside the main command battles. Progress brings new jobs into the same recurring decision: prepare your actions now or spend them together.

A fit for turn-based RPG players who enjoy planning when to act as well as which job to use.

Banking BP and spending it on extra actions could make a well-prepared turn satisfying for players who like deliberate coordination. Jobs unlocked through strong opponents give that planning new combinations to explore as the adventure develops.

Strengths

  • Default and Brave make the timing of action expenditure a meaningful part of command selection.
  • New jobs can give players reasons to revisit how their commands work together.

Who it is for: Players who enjoy considering defensive preparation, concentrated actions and changing job combinations.

Play notes: The added minigames use mouse controls, so their interaction differs from the main turn-based command battles.
