About this game

A goose is loose among people trying to get on with village life. In Untitled Goose Game, you sneak around and stage pranks, including stealing hats, with a dedicated button for honking. ToDo objectives record your completed mischief as you make your way through the village. The same levels can also be played cooperatively with another local player, each using a single Joy-Con on Switch. There is no game-over state, and progress saves automatically. When you return to a saved game, completed progress remains, but the village's items return to their original positions rather than preserving the disorder you left behind.

8.2 / 10Nintendo Switch

A good conceptual fit for players who enjoy turning ordinary situations into small comic problems.

The combination of stealth, ToDo objectives and deliberately disruptive actions should reward interest in planning mischief rather than combat. With no game-over state, experimenting with a prank need not carry the pressure of losing a run.

Strengths

  • Specific mischievous actions give the objective-solving a comic purpose rather than an abstract checklist.
  • A second local goose could turn planning a prank into a shared activity without replacing the familiar levels.

Weaknesses

  • Local-only cooperation limits its usefulness for friends who want to play together from different homes.

Who it is for: Players who like playful stealth, objective-based experimentation and planning mischief with someone beside them.

Play notes: Saved progress persists, but item placement resets when you return; a half-arranged scene is not preserved as you left it.

Completed objectives provide milestones, while the absence of game over leaves room to experiment without a failed run ending play.

Stealth and concrete prank objectives could make the pleasure lie in choosing how to cause trouble, especially if everyday mischief appeals to you.
