About this game

Super Mega Baseball 3 combines batting and pitching with decisions around base stealing, pickoffs and situational player traits. You can take a team through multiple seasons in Franchise mode, developing the roster while players age and retire. Signing or releasing free agents changes the team you bring back to the field. For a competition of your own, customize season length and structure, edit team names, uniforms and logos, and alter player appearance and attributes. Customized Seasons and Elimination brackets let you play games or simulate them. Cartoon character art sits alongside ballparks with day, night and alternate lighting, giving the baseball simulation a deliberately stylized setting.

7.9 / 10Nintendo Switch

A useful prospect for baseball fans who want field decisions connected to a team they can reshape.

Pickoffs, stealing and situational traits could give individual plays more to consider than contact alone. Franchise development and editable competitions extend the appeal toward players who enjoy making roster and league decisions between games.

Strengths

  • Player development, aging and free-agent changes could make successive seasons feel like managing an evolving team.
  • League and team customization offers room to build a competition around personal preferences.

Who it is for: Players who enjoy both batting and pitching, want ongoing roster management, or like designing their own teams and season format.
