About this game
Design roller coasters piece by piece or start with a pre-made layout, then build the park around them. Food and drink stalls, transport rides, scenery, landscaping and footpaths are part of the layout. Running the park also means handling marketing, finances and staff to attract guests and keep the business operating. Classic combines features from the original RollerCoaster Tycoon and its sequel, with progression through 95 park scenarios. The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition includes Toolkit, Wacky Worlds and Time Twister, and supports Joy-Con 2 mouse controls. Its classic isometric graphics and original amusement-park music preserve the presentation of the underlying games while you work on construction and management.
Collected in series
RollerCoaster Tycoon turns a patch of land into a theme park full of rides, paths and visitors with opinions. Building spectacular coasters is only part of the job: prices, staff and guest happiness determine whether your creation thrives. The series combines detailed construction with the everyday decisions of running a park.

Nintendo Switch 2AI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
A fit for players who want their coaster designs to sit inside a working park business.
Construction and park operations give two connected interests room to coexist: designing a ride and arranging the services around it. Scenario progression should appeal to players who prefer a succession of park-management settings to concentrating on a single design.
Strengths
- Pre-made and piece-by-piece coasters provide different entry points for construction-minded players.
- Combining guest services, staffing and finances can make layout choices matter to more than appearance.
Weaknesses
- If your only interest is drawing coaster tracks, managing park finances and staff may feel like competing work.
Who it is for: Players who enjoy both amusement-park layout and business management, particularly those attracted to classic isometric presentation.
Play notes: The separately listed Upgrade Pack requires the original RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic; it is an upgrade route rather than a standalone game.
