About this game

Kirby sets out to gather the missing parts of Magolor’s spaceship. Float through the air, swallow enemies to take their abilities, and use those powers as you work through the platforming adventure. Special glowing enemies grant Super Abilities powerful enough to break sections of the scenery. Up to four players can tackle the journey together on one console. This Deluxe edition also includes Merry Magoland’s local subgames. Finishing Story Mode opens Magolor Epilogue, where you control Magolor and collect Magic Points to rebuild his powers. Optional Helper Magolor assistance provides rescue from falls during Kirby’s adventure, giving players a practical way to soften that particular obstacle.

8.8 / 10Nintendo Switch

A promising fit for players who enjoy experimenting with powers and sharing a platforming adventure.

Copying enemies gives curious players a reason to try different approaches, while local cooperation makes the journey a shared activity. Magolor’s separate progression offers a change of focus after the main story.

Strengths

  • Enemy-derived abilities can make encounters opportunities to experiment.
  • Optional fall rescue gives less confident platforming players a useful support option.

Who it is for: Players interested in ability-based platforming and groups who can gather around one console.

Play notes: Each participant in same-console multiplayer needs a controller.
