About this game

Parkasaurus: Dinoluxe Edition puts you in charge of designing exhibits and running a prehistoric animal park. Enclosure shape, plants, elevation and humidity matter to its inhabitants, which you hatch from eggs and raise to adulthood. Research unlocks further eggs, technologies and upgrades, while employees and scientists help operate the park. You also manage its business: adjust admission and attraction fees, and read guest reviews to follow visitor satisfaction. Escapes can turn park management into a first-person incident to resolve. Missions take place in different areas, and this edition includes Sea Monsters and Prehistoric Wonders. The former extends exhibit building into aquatic habitats constructed with fluid water physics.

7.6 / 10Nintendo Switch 2

A good conceptual fit for builders who want animal care and business decisions to shape their layouts.

Habitat requirements make exhibit design a practical problem, while fees, staff and guest feedback give those spaces an economic context. Raising animals and expanding into aquatic habitats could particularly appeal to players who enjoy caring for what they build.

Strengths

  • Plants, terrain and humidity give enclosure design consequences beyond its appearance.
  • The included aquatic habitats broaden the kinds of living spaces available to construct.

Weaknesses

  • Escapes may interrupt the layout planning that some players most want from a park builder.

Who it is for: Players who enjoy adjusting habitats, researching unlocks and balancing visitor income with animal care.
