About this game

Nickelodeon characters meet in platform battles built around their individual move sets. Choose a fighter, learn their attacks and use Slime to strengthen a special, cancel an attack or break out of a combo. Character-specific cinematic Supers provide another attacking option, while local multiplayer lets players face one another on the same system. The single-player campaign sends your brawlers against Vlad Plasmius in a roguelike structure. Challenge characters to unlock them for the campaign and gain upgrades such as freezing enemies, homing projectiles or stronger attacks. A dedicated training mode provides a separate place to work on your fighting skills. Additional Season Pass fighters are separate DLC rather than part of this base-game overview.

7.4 / 10Nintendo Switch

For cartoon fans who want to learn a fighter beyond its familiar faces.

Slime's offensive and defensive uses could give players a reason to study how exchanges unfold, rather than relying only on a favorite character's basic attacks. The campaign's unlocks and upgrades may also suit players who want structured solo goals alongside local matches.

Strengths

  • Attack cancellation, combo escapes and enhanced specials could offer several ways to rethink an exchange.
  • Campaign upgrades may encourage trying combat effects that differ from the character's usual move set.

Weaknesses

  • Learning several Slime functions may be more commitment than players seeking only a casual character crossover expect.

Who it is for: Nickelodeon fans interested in practicing character moves, exploring Slime options and alternating local battles with a solo campaign.

Play notes: Season Pass fighters are additional DLC; owning the standard game does not by itself include that pass.
