About this game
Choose a three-character team and switch the active ninja during battle. The team shares a health gauge, while chakra powers actions such as ninjutsu and a rushing approach. Substitution lets you avoid attacks, but it consumes a gauge that does not recover immediately. Keeping an escape available and choosing when to spend chakra are recurring decisions. Simple controls can automate the approach-to-combo sequence with one button. Offline Practice mode also lets you set conditions to try your abilities. For story play, the game combines selected Naruto and Sasuke scenes with anime cutscenes and playable battles, alongside an original Boruto-centered story. The historical coverage is a selection of moments, rather than every scene of the source material.
Collected in series
Naruto’s game adaptations bring the manga and anime’s ninja world into fighting, story adventures and team combat. Different branches put the emphasis on spectacular jutsu, recognizable rivalries or coordinating with other players across an arena.

Nintendo SwitchAI review

Suited to fans who want cinematic ninja battles with resource-based defensive choices.
Shared team health and limited substitution could make fighter switching and escape timing matter beyond the spectacle. Simple controls offer a route into the action, while selected historical scenes and a new Boruto story serve different interests within the same setting.
Strengths
- The substitution gauge gives defense a resource tradeoff rather than an unlimited escape.
- Simple controls and configurable practice offer complementary ways to approach the combat.
Weaknesses
- The selected historical coverage may disappoint players expecting an unabridged retelling.
Who it is for: Naruto and Boruto fans who enjoy team choices, chakra management and deciding when to spend an escape.
Play notes: Historical scenes are selected highlights. Online multiplayer on Switch requires Nintendo Switch Online.
