About this game

Minecraft Legends puts you in charge of an army while keeping your hero in the action. You can fight with a sword, but directing allies is central: rally nearby units with your banner, then send selected troops toward a target. Different allies bring different strengths, including familiar Minecraft creatures such as creepers, skeletons and zombies. Your campaign involves attacking piglin bases and protecting villages. Resources support both troop spawning and offensive or defensive construction, with allays carrying out gathering and building orders. Managing those supplies is part of sustaining your force. Each campaign playthrough generates a new map, giving the conflict a newly arranged Overworld to explore.

7.4 / 10Nintendo Switch

For players who want to lead a force while remaining part of the battle.

Banner commands and distinct unit roles can make choosing where to send allies more important than simply swinging the hero's sword. Resource gathering and construction add another layer of priorities for players who enjoy preparing an attack as well as carrying it out.

Strengths

  • Targeted orders and different unit roles can reward matching a force to its immediate task.
  • Gathering, construction and troop spawning give resources a clear connection to battlefield plans.

Weaknesses

  • Players seeking uninterrupted personal combat may find the recurring supply and command decisions distracting.

Who it is for: Players interested in directing an army, choosing targets and supporting attacks with resource planning.

Play notes: The hero's sword is only part of the design; commanding and supplying allies are central activities.
