About this game
Kirby Fighters 2 turns copy abilities into different fighting styles. Ranged attacks and close-combat moves offer different ways to approach an opponent, with victory coming from depleting their health. On one console, players can compete individually or in teams, adjusting rules for items, stage hazards and ghost revival. Story Mode sends you up a tower alongside a friend or computer-controlled buddy. Between floors, you choose an item whose effects last for the rest of that chapter. Battles also earn Fighters Points toward rank unlocks, adding abilities, characters, stages and hats that change your fighter’s appearance. During a fight, the + Button opens a move list for the selected fighter.

Nintendo SwitchAI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
A good candidate if you want to experiment with fighting styles and share a structured tower challenge.
The contrast between ranged and close-combat abilities offers a clear reason to try different fighters. Chapter-long upgrades could make the tower appeal to players who enjoy carrying a choice forward, while adjustable battle rules let a group shape its competitive sessions.
Strengths
- Ability-specific moves give experimenting players concrete differences to learn.
- Configurable items, hazards and revival rules can help a group tailor its matches.
Weaknesses
- Unlocking abilities and characters through rank may delay access to a fighter you particularly want to try.
Who it is for: Players who enjoy testing different move sets, and friends who want either shared tower battles or configurable competition.
Play notes: Ghost revival belongs to team battles and depends on the selected rules.
