About this game

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is a PC role-playing game centered on area exploration, combat and party setup, and character progression. Story beats, exploration, and progression resources support a longer campaign, with progress divided into stages, tasks, matches, or growth milestones that make immediate goals understandable. Its value depends on whether these rules continue to create judgment and room for mastery rather than on length, sales, or series recognition. Short campaigns are judged by repeat-challenge value, while longer ones are judged by variety, pacing, and recovery after failure. Characters, world building, environments, and music carry most of the atmosphere, while resolution, graphics settings, frame rate, aspect ratio, audio, text scaling, and hardware performance need to preserve action, state, and text readability together. The genre-specific limitation is that dense text, menu layers, repeated battles, loading, or language dependence can slow progress. Platform conditions also include OS and hardware requirements, installation media, patches, drivers, DRM and launchers, key binding and controller support, save locations, mod compatibility, servers, and era-specific OS compatibility affect the current release. This description covers only this platform release and does not import features or conveniences from remasters, emulators, or other console editions.

8.7 / 10Windows PC

A richly systemic medieval RPG with hardware-dependent PC delivery.

Directional swordplay, armour layering and faction relationships prevent effortless victories. Preparation and positioning matter, giving the many rules a distinct role-playing purpose rather than mere complication. Political errands and optional exploration intertwine across a long Bohemian journey. Slow attention is often repaid with surprising encounters, even if some decisions have softer consequences than their setup implies. The Wenceslas-Sigismund struggle gives a specific historical pressure to villages, clothing and conversation. This sense of society makes routine non-combat activity engaging across a very long adventure. Early PC code scales across several tested configurations with little shader stutter, but the review machine used an RTX 4080. Its experience cannot be promised for minimum hardware, so settings remain a meaningful usability choice.

Strengths

  • Combat, gear and society interlock.
  • The world rewards patient exploration.

Weaknesses

  • Length and learning demand commitment.
  • Hardware requires settings choices.

Who it is for: Historical RPG players ready to learn systems and tune settings for their own PC.

Play notes: Technical scope is the early 2025 Windows build on specified test hardware, not every PC or later DLC and ARM builds.
