About this game

Gear.Club Unlimited 3 puts you behind the wheel on roads in Japan and along the French Riviera. Its career connects race victories with reputation and the establishment of a Gear.Club in Japan. Between competitions, customize your car's appearance and mechanical performance to develop the machine you want to drive. Alongside races and time attacks, highway events place you among ordinary traffic. You must judge the movement of surrounding vehicles and choose when to change lanes while pursuing rivals. This adds traffic-reading decisions to the racing, while split-screen play provides a way to share the competition on one system. The recurring activities are driving events, developing the club and returning to car customization.

5.0 / 10Nintendo Switch 2

A fit for players who want car customization alongside traffic-aware racing.

Highway traffic could make reading gaps as engaging as overtaking a rival. Combining career reputation with visual and mechanical customization may appeal to players who enjoy developing a car and a club together.

Strengths

  • Traffic introduces another moving element to consider when choosing an overtaking opportunity.
  • Appearance and mechanical customization could give car-focused players reasons to engage between events.

Weaknesses

  • Players who prefer racing without ordinary traffic may be less drawn to the highway events.

Who it is for: Players interested in car customization, career progression and split-screen competition.

Play notes: HDR requires a compatible television.
