About this game
Gang Beasts brings gelatinous fighters to Beef City, where punches, kicks, grabs and throws are tools for staying in the contest. In melee mode, victory goes to the last player left on the stage. Battles take place on locations including ice, train roofs and elevators, putting the surroundings alongside opponents in the fight to remain. Other modes change the objective: cooperate against successive enemies in Wave, or put the ball into the opposing goal in Football, where punches and hand use are allowed. Character customization lets you choose your fighter's appearance. On Nintendo Switch, up to four players can share one system, while local wireless play supports groups across multiple systems.

AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
For groups that enjoy physical improvisation and precarious scraps.
Grabbing and throwing near dangerous surroundings can make committing to an attack feel like a risk in itself. Wave and Football change what the group is trying to achieve, which may suit gatherings that want more than successive elimination bouts.
Strengths
- Grappling and stage placement can create decisions about when to attack and when to stay clear.
- Enemy waves and ball-scoring rules offer concrete alternatives to last-player-standing fights.
Weaknesses
- Players seeking tightly measured duels may be less drawn to the gelatinous, bodily style of the contest.
Who it is for: Friends who enjoy wrestling over position, physical comedy and switching between competitive and cooperative objectives.
Play notes: One system supports up to four players; the larger local-wireless player range uses multiple systems.
