About this game
Freedom Planet 2 combines fast movement with combat as its heroines explore Avalice. Character choice changes how you approach the action: Lilac can rush forward with Dragon Boost, while Milla uses a shield to deflect attacks. Hills and slopes are part of the momentum-based movement, and a timed Guard gives you another response to incoming attacks. Adventure mode includes exploration and encounters with the world's inhabitants. Completing it opens Classic mode, while Boss Rush puts successive boss battles together. You can also change stage rules through equipment, such as starting with a shield orb or turning item boxes into bombs. If knocked out, spending an extra life lets you revive on the spot.
Collected in series
Freedom Planet follows Lilac and her friends through fast platforming stages where distinctive movement abilities double as weapons. Momentum carries you through slopes and loops, while branching routes and boss fights give you reasons to slow down, explore and learn each heroine’s moves.

AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
A promising match for players who want speed with room to shape the challenge.
Momentum-based movement and character-specific abilities could reward finding an approach that suits your habits. Guarding and equipment modifiers add decisions beyond simply moving faster, particularly if you enjoy adjusting a challenge rather than accepting one fixed rule set.
Strengths
- Different movement and defensive abilities offer concrete reasons to experiment with character choice.
- Equipment can change stage rules, letting challenge preferences influence preparation.
Who it is for: Platforming fans who enjoy momentum, combat timing and experimenting with ability or equipment choices.
Play notes: Players primarily interested in Classic mode should account for its Adventure-completion prerequisite.
