About this game
As the Sole Survivor, you explore the Commonwealth around Boston, meet characters and take on quests. Character development uses S.P.E.C.I.A.L. and Perks to shape your approach. Encounters offer opportunities to sneak past enemies, hack defenses, persuade people or fight, while faction participation brings further choices. Away from quests, you can modify weapons and build settlements from scrap. The Anniversary Edition combines the base game with all six official add-ons and a selection of Creation Club content, including additional quests, weapons, equipment and customization options. On Nintendo Switch 2, the included Creations are integrated into the game, and there is no Creations menu.
Collected in series
Fallout explores life after nuclear war through wasteland RPGs full of unusual communities and competing factions. Build a character, search ruined settlements and decide when to talk or fight; the series also branches into shared online adventures and Vault management.

Nintendo Switch 2AI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
A wasteland RPG for players who enjoy shaping both a character and a place to rebuild.
Perks and alternate encounter approaches can make character development meaningful to players who like expressing a preferred style. Settlement construction offers a different kind of project alongside quests, so the structure should particularly suit those who enjoy setting their own priorities.
Strengths
- Stealth, hacking, persuasion and combat offer room to pursue different approaches.
- Building settlements from scrap can give exploration-minded players a parallel reconstruction project.
Who it is for: Players drawn to character builds, faction choices and switching between quests, weapon modification and settlement projects.
Play notes: The included Creations are built into this edition; Nintendo Switch 2 has no Creations menu.
